After much debate, we've finally settled on a permanent name for Angel. From now on her call name will be "Ecko" and her registered name is "Lookout's F/V Ocean Fury".
The name Ecko was originally derived from an idea Jan had of using an anagram of the names Kilo and Stoker to come up with a name for the pup. With the help of some friends we came up with lots of suggestions: "Loki", "Tico", "KoKo", "Klio", "Kloe", "Slik", "Lotis"... We arrived at "Eko" and then changed the spelling a bit to Ecko. For us, the name evokes memories of Papa Kilo and Great-Great-Grandma Tango (Kilo stands for K and Tango stands for T in the phonetic alphabet, while Echo stands for E). We also feel like Ecko is an "echo of the past" for us with several of our bygone dogs in her pedigree.
Picking puppy names is always so difficult!
