Monday activities

Monday is my day off, but with puppies afoot, there was plenty to be done!

One of the day's activities was a trip to Battle Ground, WA to pick up meat at Columbia River Natural Pet Food. Myself and a few other friends order several months worth of provisions each trip and the back of the cargo van was full of frozen meat for the trip home. The freezer in the garage is now full of ground Rabbit, Quail, Venison and Veggies so we are ready to provide for the pups when Stoker says they are ready to wean. The pups will also get some kibble as part of their diet, so those homes that don't have time or feel comfortable feeding raw will have a less difficult time transitioning their pups to a new food.

When I returned home my friend Darlene and her daughter Leah and son Kyle came to visit. The Brushweins have a big, brown PWD of their own named Gibson. Gibson is friends with our pack and stays with us once in a great while if Darlene and her hubby are out of town. Darlene is an amazing seamstress and showed me the fleece she found to make blankets for the pups. Just let me say that these are going to be AWESOME blankets! I thought the beds Darlene made for our last litter were great, but these are going to be even better.

Decker and Chili and I capped the day off by heading to agility class, while Stoker and Jan stayed behind to keep the home fires burning. Chili ran extra fast to prove to everyone that just 'cause she's a Granny dog doesn't mean she's lost her speed!
